Our Story

From catching frogs to growing forests.

One maker, a workshop in Perth, and a stubborn belief that fashion and sustainability can happily coexist.

The maker

Anna grew up amongst bushland, catching frogs and butterflies and playing in the mud. She studied a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology, then spent ten years in jobs that never quite fit, before quitting in 2014 to build something that did.

That something was One Happy Leaf: joyful jewellery, laser-cut by hand from bamboo, designed to prove a small point with every pair sold.

The Forest We're Growing

15,087trees planted since 2014

One tree for every order, planted where the land needs it most. You wear it; a forest grows.

Why bamboo

Bamboo is one of the planet’s fastest-growing plants. It needs little water, no replanting, and it is light enough that a pair of earrings sits comfortably from morning to night.

Each piece is drawn, cut and finished by hand. No two batches are ever quite the same.
